The Covid-19 Pandemic has highlighted the need for more online services from the conveyancing industry. We have found that we are still able to service our clients and deliver quality support during this lockdown period utilising online platforms.
This has led to our decision to launch Let’s Talk Legal Online – an online and virtual consulting solution via platforms such as Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp, Facetime and other video conferencing software.
We decided to catch-up with our director and founder, Karien Hunter, to introduce Let’s Talk Legal Online.
CAN YOU GIVE US A BIT OF BACKGROUND?
There is always a need for good quality advice and knowledge is, as they say, power. We wanted our services to be more accessible to more individuals in an easy to use online format.
WHAT SPARKED LET’S TALK LEGAL ONLINE?
As part of my day-to-day, I spend a large amount of time advising and assisting estate agents and clients telephonically, or via WhatsApp. I noticed that there was a need for real-time, quality advice and assistance.
I realised that an open and interactive platform, where people can learn from others, would be ideal. This started our Let’s Talk Legal Whatsapp group about three years ago, which became quite popular and kept estate agents informed on changes in the law or developments in the real estate industry.
WHY DO YOU THINK NOW IS THE TIME TO LAUNCH AN ONLINE PROPERTY ADVISORY SERVICE?
Whereas nothing will ever replace personal interaction between client and attorney, this is no longer a necessity or even possible due to current physical restrictions.
To a large degree, most conveyancing services are already happening online with systems that are integrated across many platforms with banks, rates departments, SARS and estate agencies.
It is a natural progression to move into an online space for advice and support -saving our clients time and saving money while maintaining a personal touch and customising our offering to meet the needs of each client.
Our website and mobile application make it much easier to interact with us and access our services from the comfort of your home.
HOW CAN CLIENTS USE THIS SERVICE?
The whole idea is to keep things simple. Clients can send us their questions via our website or AMC Hunter app, and we respond with an answer within a short space of time.
This service is available to the public, at no fee.
Should the matter require a more in-depth and tailored answer, an online consultation will be arranged with the client, and the client will be given a quote estimate.
